When you are having a vacation in Turkey, visiting Oludeniz is must. This small village is very beautiful with pebbled beach and Blue Lagoon. This lagoon is also called the Dead Sea. Oludeniz is one of the best tourist attractions in Turkey. This village is a bit different from the traditional village scattered in this country. You can find restaurants which serve English breakfast very easily. You will also find beach resorts and small hotels about 2 km from this small village. Oludeniz is located near Fethiye. It is at the western coast of Turkey. From Fethiye, you can ride a taxi to Oludeniz. You can also reach it by bus or Dolmu. It costs about 5 TL. The bus is pretty frequent so that you can access it easily. Oludeniz is very popular among the British. The beach is usually crowded with British people at the holiday season between May and October. Some of them even have summer house near Oludeniz and Fethiye. If you want to enjoy quieter Oludeniz, visiting it at the end of October will be a better option.
Along the Blue Lagoon beach, you can enjoy sun bathing. To get into the beach, you must pay about 5 TL. Renting a beach chair costs 6 TL and another 5 TL for an umbrella. If you want to enjoy the beautiful view of Oludeniz from above, you must try paragliding. You will start it from the top of Mount Babadag near Oludeniz and you will see the beauty of the Blue Lagoon with white pebbles, pine forest, and valleys around it. It takes about an hour before you land at the beach. The beauty of Oludeniz is very popular. It even becomes the most photographed Mediterranean beach.
If you visit Oludeniz on Tuesday, you must visit the traditional market in Fethiye which is only open on Tuesdays. You can buy souvenirs and everything you need in this busy market. If you are hungry, you can go to one of the restaurants in this small village. You can eat Turkish food, western food, or fresh fish menus. There are some tourist attractions near Oludeniz. At the south of this small village is Faralya (Butterfly Valley). You will find waterfalls and rare butterflies here. This valley is very natural and quiet compared to Oludeniz.
